“ We wanted to stop at a cafe that offered something different and we were well served in that category! Their cappuccino and cortado were strong and on point. The leek and gruyere croissant was flaky and savory... Could have eaten half a dozen! The almond croissant was just as flaky and that stuffing was generous and loaded with almond flavor. That breakfast sandwich was far from your timmies version... Thick bacon, perfectly poached egg on a fluffy bun that sucked up all that greasy goodness... You can't go wrong! Finally, the first time having a Paris Brest and wow such a satisfying texture, generously stuffed with smoked salmon and horseradish cream cheese... Amazing plate! ”
“ Love everything about this place. The vibe, yes it's almost always busy but it's still very cute. The food is always amazing, have tried several vegetarian options and not been disappointed so far. ”
“ We went for breakfast on Sunday morning. Had pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and coffees. Everything was delicious. So much chocolate in the pain au chocolat. Really lovely space and very friendly servers, very welcoming to kids. ”
“ It was for my hubby’s birthday brunch, the afternoon after a stormy night, we thought the restaurant may not be too busy around 2pm. We were wrong. There was a small line in the restaurant side. However, we were able to get a table pretty quickly within 10 mins. The restaurant side was very cute and cozy, bright and clean. We ordered through the QR code. Pastries and drinks came out quickly. Our entrees came out soon after we finished the pastries. The servers were very friendly and attentive, always ready to refill more teas or water. The price of the sandwiches were not cheap but reasonable for the size and the freshness, they were just right. We really enjoyed all the dishes. We even have leftovers to bring home. The salad dressing was light and savory. It was perfect to accompany the sandwiches. All the pastries we had were fresh and had just the right flakiness. The mimosa and the lattes were just perfect. We really enjoyed this brunch experience and can’t wait to return soon. ”
“ The best family run bakery and catering in Burlington !!! We are lucky to have a place like this in a city where all the baked goods at most shops and cafes are sub par at best. If you are a person who appreciates fine pastries and gourmet foods this is the place for you! Everything is baked fresh and flies off the shelves within hours of opening. The pastries are works of art both in flavour and looks. The butter tart eclair is to DIE for so is their coffee crisp eclair! Their Kouign Ammans are so great that they are usually sold out by noon (if you know you know) I have been coming here for 4 years and it’s pure bliss every time I eat here. Will you have to wait in line? - sometimes yes Will it be worth it? - absolutely, as long as you understand that the food you will receive is worth the wait. Is it busy and a little loud? Yes it’s family run so if you can respect the hard working team you will have a lovely time but if the noise is too much for you then takeaway is your best bet everything is always carefully packaged so you can enjoy your treats in the comfort of your home if you can make it before opening the box to take a bite of your goodies! Besides the desserts the food is also incredible their Croque Monsieur is my favourite breakfast/lunch item it can feed a family or 2 very hungry people it’s delicious and a must try! The roast beef crunch sandwich, eggs Benedict and their burger is amazing as well. Saving Thyme is honestly a wonderful place and I hope they stick around for a long time and keep creating delicious treats and more unique dishes for everyone to enjoy! They are the best in Burlington! ”
“ One of my favorite brunch/lunch places in Burlington! Delicious croissants, pastries and bread all made in house. Caffeine-Based drinks are okay but nothing worth noting in particular. I've tried many of their entrees and sandwiches, but my favorite by far is the brioche BLT. Easy to order and pay through your phone but they also have friendly staff available to take your or for special requests. Be prepared to wait upwards of 30 minutes for a table during their busy days/hours. ”
“ Excellent breakfast/brunch spot with high quality ingredients and well made dishes. It's a first come first serve policy - despite a busy day we were able to get in within 15 minutes. Once seated you order through your phone. Service was reasonably prompt but since you lack a dedicated server it's hard to pin someone down and have personable experience (feels like you are at a train station with how quickly the servers were running around) - they had forgotten our pastries/mimosa for about 15 minutes after the meal was done and had to get the rest to go. The quiche was extremely fresh - the ratatouille toast was well balanced, eggs Benedict was nice but lacked salt somewhat. Do not get a full plate of frites - it will be too much for one person - get half half with salad. Mimosa was excellent with freshly squeezed juice as the base. Highly recommend this spot for brunch. ”
“ If you’re ever in Burlington, do yourself a favour and make a stop at Saving Thyme. Honestly, everything we tried was fantastic. You can tell how much care goes into the food—everything is fresh, made from scratch, and beautifully presented. We ordered quite a few things (because how could we resist?) the burger was perfect, the chicken confit sandwich was packed with flavour, and the French onion soup was rich and comforting. The breakfast sandwich is a must, and the strawberry olive oil cake? Out of this world. We also had a dulce de leche ball (I’ll have to go back just to remember the name) so good! And there was also a braised chicken leg dish that was delicious too. Our server, Vanessa, was absolutely lovely, warm, attentive, and just added to the whole experience. The place does get busy, but the wait isn’t long and it’s completely worth it. Can’t recommend this spot enough. We’ll definitely be back! ”
